3-AXIS CONCENTRATION DIAGNOSIS

At the iMIND Institute, you will experience an individual approach for each client, based on an in-depth diagnosis that allows us to offer personalized solutions tailored to the actual causes of concentration issues.

ARE YOU STRUGGLING WITH TROUBLESOME CONCENTRATION ISSUES?

Have you ever missed an important project deadline due to concentration difficulties? Or perhaps concentration issues have led you to work overtime or take work home to catch up and avoid mistakes?

Have you ever interrupted others during conversations because of a lack of focus, leading to conflicts or misunderstandings? Or have you started avoiding group conversations or limiting social interactions to prevent misunderstandings due to concentration problems?

Have you ever forgotten important tasks because of concentration issues, affecting your daily life? Or perhaps you’ve started creating long, detailed task lists and notes to make sure you don't forget your daily responsibilities?

Have you ever felt frustrated and as if you were letting yourself down because of concentration problems? Or maybe you started avoiding difficult tasks or putting them off (procrastination!) to avoid frustration and the feeling of failure?

In today’s post-pandemic world, more and more adults are struggling with attention difficulties. These issues can stem from ADHD, auditory processing disorders (often mistaken for ADHD), or poor information hygiene. In extreme cases, concentration problems can lead to burnout—it starts with frustration over decreased productivity, followed by pressure from colleagues, emotional exhaustion, and eventually, the situation may result in burnout, causing the individual to quit a job that once seemed great.

The proper identification of the causes behind these problems is the first step in regaining control of your life.

Let’s illustrate this with an example:
Imagine a hypothetical 50-year-old individual who has been struggling with concentration problems for some time. These issues are affecting their work, but not yet their personal life. They come to us thinking it might be ADHD. However, a thorough diagnosis suggests otherwise—the patient doesn’t exhibit most ADHD symptoms, and the EEG reveals significant sleep disturbances, which the patient downplays in the interview. Additionally, auditory processing tests show difficulties in recognizing speech in noise. In the interview, the patient confirms that working in an open space is more challenging than in a noise-isolated room, but they didn’t consider it related to their hearing. In such a case, we would recommend internal medicine consultations to diagnose potential sleep disorders and, if medical causes are ruled out, neurofeedback training focused on slow waves. Additionally, we would suggest Neuroflow ATS auditory training to improve auditory processing.

Example Case:

Additionally, auditory processing tests indicate difficulties in speech recognition in noisy environments. The patient confirms in the interview that working in an open space is indeed harder for them than in a quiet, isolated room, but they thought it wasn’t related to their hearing. Our recommendations in such a case would be an internal medicine consultation to diagnose sleep disorders and, if medical causes are ruled out, neurofeedback training focused on slow waves. ATTENTION:

Typically, a doctor may order basic blood tests and tests for hormonal imbalances, such as thyroid hormone tests, to rule out potential health-related causes.
